“People appreciate our attentiveness and the service we offer and are excited about the new products we carry.” -- Dave Jones
Reading, Pennsylvania didn’t particularly need one more rent-to-own store in a market already abundant with RTO choices. What it did need was for Rich Bagoly and Dave Jones to open Rich and Dave Rentals, Inc. Now, as part of the Premier Rental-Purchase family, Rich and Dave are able to offer Reading something different: a combination of the customer service for which they are known in the area along with new products and benefits to match what their customers are demanding.
“Customer care has always been a number one priority,” says Rich who was most recently a store manager in Reading for another RTO company, with Dave a store manager in nearby Allentown for the same firm. “We now are able to give even more benefits to our customers through our own store and by having access to Premier. For example, we are able to offer people an upscaled product line, and we have the flexibility to bring in items we have been wanting to offer but couldn’t before.”
Already a few months ahead of schedule in sales and revenues, Rich and Dave enjoy a partnership that began as a friendship years ago when they first worked together. Both 10-year RTO veterans, they share a work ethic that has impressed the industry. At different times over the past few years each brought the store they managed to a number one ranking in overall performance, revenue, and operation—and that among 130 stores.
Dedicated experience and skill such as theirs could only result in success in their new enterprise. Loyal customers have followed them, establishing a strong customer base, as did a seasoned and familiar staff. Add to that Premier’s systematic support, which has enhanced their combined experience and eased them into store ownership.
“People appreciate our attentiveness and the service we offer and are excited about the new products we carry,” says Dave who considers their new product line an important component of customer care.
“We treat them like we would want to be treated. You get rewarded by the way you take care of your customers,” adds Rich. Not ones to rest on laurels, Rich and Dave recently branched out into the wheels and tires business and will push this more heavily in the spring, once their Pennsylvania clientele gets through a snowy winter. The team will also be opening their second store — this one in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Stay tuned.
