Drew Summa began his Rent to Own career in 1989 after he left the United States Marine Corp. His first position was as a delivery driver. He worked his way up the professional ladder to hold a District Manager position within the industry. Having friends in the industry and owning their own stores was a huge motivator for Drew to become a business owner. They convinced me that this was the direction I was looking for. “I wanted to be in control of a business rather than working for someone else,” said Drew. He discussed his options with attorneys and friends while reaching out to Trooper Earle, President & CEO of The Premier Companies.
“I had heard many good things about being a Premier franchisee and I felt very comfortable with Trooper the several times we spoke about becoming a franchisee,” continued Drew. The warmth and sincerity from Trooper, in addition to the advantages of being a Premier franchisee, helped Drew make his decision. Drew opened his Premier Rental-Purchase store in May 2008 in Oakland Park Florida, a stone's throw from Ft. Lauderdale. “Owning your own store is a different kind of challenge,” said Drew. “I'm in control and responsible for the entire business. I know now that I will never work for anyone else.”
The Premier Companies is a Rent to Own franchise organization with 75 locations nationwide.
